Customs Declaration (BC 2.2) - Customs Declaration of Goods Carried by Passenger & Crew Members

This page is the section to declare your belongings to be submitted to Customs Officers.

Thank you for your cooperation in complying with Indonesian laws and regulations during the customs clearance process. You may declare your family belongings in a single Customs Declaration form.

  1. Please declare all the goods you are carrying accurately and completely in this Customs Declaration and submit it to the Customs Officers.

  2. Bringing items such as narcotics, illegal drugs, terrorism-related goods, money laundering-related items, and/or other prohibited goods is a violation and will result in legal consequences.

  3. If you are carrying currency (including banknotes) and/or Bearer Negotiable Instruments (e.g., demand drafts, checks, traveler's checks, promissory notes, and deposit certificates), in Rupiah or any other currency, equivalent to 100 million Rupiah or more, you are required to declare them to the Customs Officers. Additionally, carrying foreign banknotes with a total value of 1 billion Rupiah or more requires a permit from Bank Indonesia.

  4. Import duty exemption for personal effects of passengers and crew members purchased or obtained abroad and not taken back out of the country:

  5. Excise Goods granted duty exemptions for passengers and crew members aged 21 and above (for Alcoholic Beverages), and aged 18 and above (for Tobacco Products), with a maximum quantity of:

    • If you are carrying more than one type of excise tobacco product, the duty exemption will be granted proportionally.
    • For excise goods exceeding the stipulated exemption threshold, the excess will be destroyed by Customs Officers, with or without the presence of the passengers or crew members.
  6. If you are carrying imported goods that are not for personal use (an unreasonable quantity for personal use/consumption, commercial goods, or goods intended for business, stores, institutions, or industries), import duties and taxes will be applied, and you must comply with import restrictions.

  7. Import duty exemption for re-imported goods and temporarily admitted goods will be granted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  8. If you are carrying Mobile Phones, Handheld Computers, or Cellular-based Tablet Computers purchased or obtained abroad, and intend to use them in Indonesia with an Indonesian cellular network, please report to Customs Officers upon arrival.

  9. If your baggage arrives separately or is delayed, please report to Customs Officers upon arrival.

  10. Any misdeclaration is subject to sanctions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  7. Goods from abroad for temporary used in Indonesia that will be brought back (temporary admission).
